Handy little place that does some nice fresh made rolls that was handy in the middle of a long walk - aswell as all the other stuff in a little convenience store

This is a fabulous example of a proper English village shop. The service is second to none and the guys are always helpful. They really do go the extra mile in helping other villagers get what they need. There is a gift shop upstairs selling gifts, cards, etc. The cards are better than the usual rubbish served up in high street chains and better value. I always get my Saturday paper in the shop and have ordered the Christmas Turkey from here as well last year and this year. It's a travesty that the Village Shop was not awarded the local post office when the original office shut. In my opinion they would offer a better service than the current post office. Controversial maybe, but an opinion. Best of all there is a FREE cash point.
