Makeney Hall Hotel

I service the mowers for this place so I know their grounds are well kept in immaculate condition. The gardeners are a lovely bunch and the building cannot be in a better place! The building itself is also a beautiful sight to behold! I've heard the rooms are clean and comfortable from a few guests too!

Rooms: The room itself was fairly standard, but no complaints. The bathrooms are a little dated, but were fine. Food & drinks: The dining room and bar were beautifully decorated, and had a nice relaxing view of the garden. The dinner was really great, and we have high standards! It was a shame the cocktail bar didn't actually serve cocktails, and it could do with a bit more music for ambience.

Disappointed that the dinner menu was the same for both nights. The bathroom whilst quite large lacked a proper shower facility and the toiletries and toilet paper were very limited in supply. Our room was not serviced after our first night despite the hotel being very quiet and in general there seemed to be a shortage of staff although I fully understand the need to be very careful with the outgoings
