Absolutely beggers belief. I had an appointment for a viewing but was told that before this I would have to go through the mortgage application qualification process with their mortgage brokers. Never having heard of this before a viewing, I went through the process and decided to conduct an experiment and only disclose the minimum deposit I would be willing to put down on the house. My plan being to double that deposit if I liked the apartment I viewed when making an offer. Upon the Ilimited information I disclosed, I obviously did not pass qualification. However, not only did I not receive an email to this effect, I did not even receive any further emails from Crest either cancelling the appointment or as a matter of courtesy informing me of the reasons they wish not to proceed. I guess I actually should be thankful for such poor poor and discourteous greedy service. That's a 100k saved. Elsewhere we go.
