Blue Bell Hotel

Very disappointing Avoid this hotel, we did not have a pleasant experience. We were met by an unfriendly receptionist who made us feel like an inconvenience. Our room was freezing cold and we were told the heating wouldnt be turned on for another three hours. The tea/coffee tray in the room was measly (one teabag each) and one broken packet of biscuits to share (not even enough for one each). The mood is sterile, the decor and furnishings completely outdated and in need of major work. The bathroom was cold, no bath mat, no hot water for a bath (only a dribbly shower), damaged shower screen so water goes all over the floor, a toilet that doesnt flush, a bathroom radiator that doesnt heat or dry wet towels. Two of the three lamps in the bedroom were broken, the radiator (once it finally came on) urgently needed bleeding, so barely heated the room. It must be said - the room prices are cheap, but this is very much reflected in the service and overall experience, and I would recommend that you spend a bit more and go elsewhere to have a nicer, more pleasant stay.
