Top place to stay in this area. Hosts could not have been more welcoming, providing all our needs in a clean and comfortable environment. The breakfasts were second to none! Food & drinks: Breakfasts are fabulous and can last for a full day's sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Post Office, Claire and Simon were very kind and welcoming. Our room was extremely clean and tidy, and we had a nice view to the fields behind the B&B. We really enjoyed talking and sharing experiences with them, and got some precious travel tips. The B&B is very well located, there's a PUB nearby, and it's just less than an hour drive to the Holy Island, Berwick Upon Tweed, and even closer to Bamburg. We really hope to come back soon!

The perfect place to stay to explore the delights of Northumberland! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in the beautiful old post office house. Claire and Simon were fantastic hosts being welcoming, friendly and helpful, and affording privacy too. The en-suite room was spotless, spacious and every last detail had been thought through meticulously so that the guests have everything they need. As a "tea jenny" I particularly loved having a teapot, fridge and fresh milk in the room. (I stayed in several different places during my holiday in Northumberland, due to it being a last-minute booking and subject to what was available at short notice, and The Old Post Office House had the best facilities by far!) There was a good range of options on the breakfast menu and Simon's cooked breakfasts were delicious (which I simply had to indulge in each morning!) From the lovely old village of Belford it was easy to visit Berwick upon Tweed, Bamburgh, Alnwick etc. Thanks Claire and Simon, I hope to visit again!

Very highly recommended B&B in a great location for north Northumberland. Fabulous micro B&B with just three rooms. Perfect location in the small town of Belford just off the A1 with great access towards Alnwick to the south, Berwick to the north, Bamburgh and the coast to the east, and rugged rural north Northumberland to the west. Very friendly and helpful hosts with great advice on local pubs, restaurants and places to visit (thanks Claire and Simon). We had the ground floor Berwick room for three nights, which was very comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities (including a carton of fresh semi-skimmed milk, always a bonus over the usual small plastic pots of long-life milk, provided in a small fridge in the room), and a good-sized en suite shower room. Breakfasts were beautifully prepared, with freshly sliced fruit, great yoghurt, and a wide selection of hot dishes, with meat, fish and vegan options available, cooked to your order, which you decide the previous evening. We definitely expect to visit again, perhaps when the new Ad Gefrin whisky distillery in nearby Wooler is open to public visits which is now scheduled for February 2023.
