Weldricks Pharmacy - Owlthorpe

My dog has had cataract surgery and needs specialist human eye drops for the rest of his life. My current vet can obtain them but due to the fact they're buying a small quantity they would cost 45 a bottle. Weldricks sell these drops at a reasonable price. I get a paper prescription from my vet, buy the drops on the Weldricks website, email the prescription over and have them delivered to my home address. During the Royal Mail postal strike, I had an order for collection from Owlthorpe and it was very straightforward with fast delivery. Weldricks are using dpd for deliveries now which is working well for me.

Used to be good but they have centralised prescriptions for delivery recently in Doncaster. This has been poorly promulgated leaving many unaware of the lead time going up from a few days to 10 days and from personal experience they are unable to achieve that target. It appears that they have implemented something they have been poorly prepared for and when that could endanger peoples health or even lives one has to ask if this is acceptable. Would have given 1 star were it not for the efforts of the staff at Moorthorpe Bank branch. I am now revising this review. I gave it 3 stars in the above review now its one star because there has been no improvement. My wife has been waiting 15 day for her prescription and still no sign of it. These are not like a parcel from say Amazon where a week or two delay isnt all that serious medication keeps people well in fact it keep many people ALIVE. 15 days is longer than the surgery allows for ordering repeat prescriptions. Oh! and Amazon usually deliver the next day. I think Ill have to change pharmacy. I have, since writing the above, visited the local branch and showed the my SystemOnLine page showing that the script had been sent direct to Doncaster and the date. I must add that the staff at the Moorthorpe Bank branch could not have been more polite or helpful and have once again got things sorted out.

i use this pharmacy all the time, they are really helpful and supportive when i have needed them. could not ask for a better team, they listen too everyones problems. so greatfull for their help!

Great useful staff who will help you whenever u need it and always have my meds in which is way better then Lloyd's on Birley Moor rd
