Still best real ale pub in Bedford. Good choice of beers and ciders, efficient and friendly staff.

What a great find this was! The location is pretty hidden away but I encourage anyone who loves traditional pubs to hunt it down as you wont be disappointed. Inside is more like a museum to beers, with an incredible range of old bottles and beer mats decorating the walls and ceilings and the current range of drinks on offer is equally as impressive and unique. Staff are friendly and as welcoming as the atmosphere, and the prices charged only make it better! The bookcase of loanable reads is a lovely touch and hopefully the pub features in the many good beer guide directories! I cannot wait to return here and cant believe Ive never heard of it before - highly recommended!
