Chris Murphy Music Tuition

I have never played an instrument before, it was on my bucket list! I found Chris and its the best thing I have ever done, I'm not a fast learner, but he is extremely patient, very positive and gives praise, but importantly give constructive criticism and is also able to gear his teaching style to your learning. I'm gong to surprise my family this Christmas with my clarinet playing! A fantastic teacher.

I am just finishing my first course with Chris. As an "older" student who is learning an instrument and music for the first time, I was extremely apprehensive and nervous, but made to feel very comfortable with my progress, or sometimes lack of it ! I will be continuing with my lessons.Great teacher, would highly recommend !!!

Chris has been teaching my 12 year old daughter clarinet and alto saxophone for nearly 5 years now and is also currently teaching my 9 year old son clarinet. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and focuses on good technique and allows my children to experience a wide repertoire of music. He always provides extra opportunities for them to learn outside of their lessons by sending us music and links for additional support and learning.

Since taking lessons with Chris my playing has improved considerably. He is very patient and not critical when I play badly. He is always suggesting ways to practice better and improve my playing. It was quite daunting taking up lessons later in life, but he makes you feel at ease and able to progress. I am now working towards my grade 2 clarinet exam, and also working on improving my music theory to help with playing/reading music.
