A shop you don't imagine would still exist today based on the service offered. Really friendly and clearly passionate about clocks and restoration and supporting customers. Was very upfront about costs versus value and even came away with a complimentary tin of sumptuous oatie biscuits too when I collected the Black Forest cuckoo clock that I brought in in quite a sorry state. It's now safely on the wall here in my home ticking away happily and cuckooing as it should. A 40 year old clock that represents very happy family memories now creating new ones. My Father's old carriage clock which has great sentimental value stopped working. We entrusted Bruce Fryer at Clock-wise to carry out a full overhaul. Bruce is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to clocks and watches. When we collected our clock it was fully working and pristine, including all the workings of the clock. Bruce carefully explained what had gone wrong and the work he had carried out to rectify the problem. He also gave us invaluable advice on how to care for the clock and how to wind it up. The clock continues to work and keeps perfect time. I have also had new watch batteries fitted by Bruce at Clock-wise over many years and they have always lasted much longer than the ones I used to have fitted by Jewellery shops. Bruce is a real pleasure to do business with. I am so glad I entrusted Bruce to carry out the overhaul of my Father's carriage clock and very happy to have it back on my mantle in full working order. A great little place. Lived beside it for 17 years and only had the pleasure of visiting it this week for the shortening of two watch straps. Highly recommended. A gem in the town of Bedford.

I reached out to Clock Wise to see if they could service an old watch for us. While they couldn't help us with the watch, they offered some great detailed advice and where to go to find someone who could help. Very thankful that they took the time and were incredibly friendly.
