With a tradesman you are looking for someone who knows their stuff, can explain it to you and charges a fair price. Turning up when they say they will, doing the job they quoted (for the money they quoted), professional, skilled at their job, polite, responsible and trust worthy. All things you want from a tradesman and everything that Jamie delivers on. Jamie fixed our chimneys which were not installed correctly by the developers and did a terrific job. The NHBC inspector was very impressed with his specifications for the job (they paid part of the bill). I have to say we were impressed by his (and his teams) attitude and workmanship, not to mention his patience and accommodation for delays due to NHBC. The real impressive thing for me though was that when there was damage post removing the scaffolding to a few tiles (only to be expected sadly, we were warned by many people because of the tiles we have) he came straight back and fixed it. No extra charge, no when I can fit you in or I'll be there next week. He just came back and sorted it once the scaffolding was removed and the broken tiles found. If we ever need a roofer again will be contacting Jamie straight off without hesitation. Strongly recommended. There are still some Tradesman (note capital) left, was a pleasure to meet this one. Jamie and his team have done an outstanding job removing, lining, and replacing the slate roof on our house. The finish is impeccable and clearly the team have an eye for detail and a great enthusiasm for their work. Along the way there were some unexpected works, e.g. rotting valley board, rotting fascias etc. Jamie made me aware of this risk before hand and they addressed all of the issues quickly as they found them. They sorted all of the materials, scaffolding and waste removal and made good any inevitable damage caused by scaffolding. They turned up and left at consistent times, and were very tidy and safe in the way that they worked. This was a pretty big job, so I have no doubt in their ability to do smaller jobs too. It included lead work, replacing soil vent pipes, removing a chimney stack, repointing chimneys, and installing new gutters. Really could not have asked for more, and they exceeded my expectations. I am really happy to recommend them.
