2)As you advised me in the message below, I (finally) received an answer via the chat.
Indie sends me a photo of the damage we didn't make and the Van in the photo is not the Van we rented.
After I came up with concrete evidence, I have not received any contact from Indie for more than 10 days.
Today I still do not recommend Indie campers! The after-sales service is far from optimal. Getting in touch and receiving an answer is very difficult.
1)I do not under any circumstances recommend this company to you!!!!
A month after we returned the motorhome, we received a damage report of which we did not make the damage. On the day of return, we signed a report that there was no further damage than what was already there.
I emailed the company twice to contest, but never received a response. Of course they have written off the 20196.

I wish I had read the other reviews! There seems to be a pattern!
We drove for three hours to arrive at a site and had to leave 23 hours later as the campervan drivers window got stuck down and we were unable to close it. When we arrived the TV would not work and I called and told him, which incidentally he double charged us for. We booked through Indie Campers and was supposed to have included in our package a TV and Kitchen pack. William took another 10 off us for the TV on top of the 462 we had already paid, and there was NO kitchen pack, we also had to go and buy cups, plates, spoons and a kettle as he provided us with nothing. We paid for the camp site for 3 days and had to leave after one, due to the malfunction in the camper van. At no point did he even apologise for the problems with his campervan. We had to drive on the motorway for 3 hours with the window wide open. All in all, we have spent at least 520 for one day in his old camper van and he feels he should refund us 40. Indie campers are running a platform where they are allowing their hosts like William to con people out of Money. I should have known when we meet him in a carpark of a burnt down pub that it was going to be a disaster. How he can justify a cleaning bill of 80 I will never know as when we moved the seats there was mould underneath! He also sent texts saying stop texting for your deposit back as you are causing more delays, as he felt he could hold on to your 1K and blackmail you not to contact him! Use a reputable company to hire a decent campervan like Justgo, I wish I had.

From start to finish our experiance with indie campers was a nightmare. We had this planned months in advance to travel round norway and go to different locations on our trip, on March 1st 2023 we landed and we were sent a pick up location 2.5 hours away to collect the vehicle, we thought this was strange so tried to contact and had no response, so had to make our way there to find out on arrival they had sent us the wrong destination which they took no responsibility for and were extremely rude and patronising and tried to blame us. At this point we had lost over 5 hours of our day travelling to collect the Campervan.
After a long day and finally getting settled to take some sleep, we had our first night over in the Campervan for one night, we woke up to to water all over the floor and all of our things soaked right through with water. This was because a safety feature I was told in an email, to prevent the pipes from bursting if too cold. In -14 degrees with all of our clothes wet, they couldnt resolve the issue of help in any way, and so difficult to actually get to speak to anyone, spending 2 hours trying to contact someone, with a result of my phone bill costing over 130. Finally, on their website 24 hour roadside assistance is supposed to be included, however after over Campervan was flooded with water and all our belongings, we were told it would be 2 days before anyone could come out and help us, resulting in us having to pay for a last minute hotel and spending a fortune. I then had to fight for weeks for some money back, and to this day havent received the full amount or an apology, Infact our last email has yet again had no response an this has resulted in me leaving this review. Never in my life have I left a bad review for any company, but other people need to know before booking. For the start of my blogging business, this couldnt have been any worse.

If I could give ZERO stars I would! We had the most awful experience with this company. we had hired the car for 10 nights in December, we knew it would be cold but there was a cold snap that was getting to minus 9 degrees Celsius each night. The vehicle they provided had the check engine light on when they handed the keys over, the brakes were grinding metal on metal and it was flashing on the dash, and the heater wouldnt work. Our water in our water bottles was freezing solid overnight and we had to sleep in our snow gear. We ended up spending 500 pounds more buying accomodation just so we could stay warm. Indie campers denied to refund us at all. They were completely unhelpful and were going again THEIR terms and conditions, that they would provide a vehicle in perfect working order!! Nothing worked, they refused to work with us, and it was completely unsafe. The roads were covered in ice and we had barely any breaks. Completely dangerous, neglectful and surely illegal. They eventfully have us 100 pounds back after I threatened legal action. Disgusting company. Avoid at all costs and go to a bigger company that actually provides quality and has some integrity.
