Excellent auctioneers, from home visit to value items to selling. Great communication all the way through. Nothing was too much trouble. Valuations were excellent. Would highly recommend.

I had several pieces of jewellery I no longer wore and decided to auction through Cooper and Tanner as they are local. I had a pleasant valuation meeting with Rachel Boothroyd Walker, who sensitively assessed my items - providing realistic estimates.

Sheer Greed Having received an invoice for an auction lot won I requested a shipping quotation. The postage quoted appeared excessive but being left with little alternative the amount was paid along with the auction price & commission. When the items arrived the cost was 3 times the actual postage. Querying this with the auctioneer he insisted the cost was correct & they were in business to make a profit. Evidently not content with charging seller & buyer commissions on top of the auction selling price. Suffice to say that is the last business I will be conducting with them

I always find all the staff friendly & helpful also knowledgeable, whether Im buying or selling. A good team. Always provide sensible estimates which is important when sometimes youre the middle man.
