I've noticed this surgery does get a lot of negative reviews, and mostly due to the online PATCHS service. In fairness to the reviewers, it isn't the best service. Every single time I've tried using it, it's always reached capacity, so it's just easier to ring the surgery itself and wait 45 minutes to get through to someone. But even then, you aren't guaranteed to get the service you're looking for, unfortunately. It's with this in mind, that it's actually easier to access NHS 111, whom have no problems directing or referring you straight away to the care that you need. Why this doesn't seem to be avaliable at Beccles Medical Centre is beyond me. It's a shame because the doctors at this practice are very competent, caring and passionate about patient care, but reaching them in the first place is a huge problem. It's almost as if the reception staff don't want you to receive this patient care. I have found however, it is incredibly easy to order repeat prescriptions through the online service, which is almost always avaliable for same day pick up at Beccles Pharmacy. Highly convenient for someone like myself!

Ive noticed lots of negative reviews, but I would like to say that my early experiences of this surgery has been excellent to date. The nurse I saw today was amazing,! She spent time calming me down; explaining g things calmly and clearly; and was so kind. I suppose coming from mid Sussex, where everything is at capacity, this was a breathe of fresh air, and they fitted me in with my scare straight away. Also, on transferring to Beccles, the pharmacist was in touch early and explained and sorted out my meds. So far so good, and thank you!

Very disappointed that an NHS establishment is so disorganised, staff having no knowledge of their responsibilities, and cant communicate that there are delays maybe unforeseen but rather discuss their personal lives rather than see their patients creating delays. No apology given. POOR.

Oh dear....impressive new PATCHS system, which I'm sure would work brilliantly if you could actually ever access it...each time I've tried the surgery has reached its capacity.

I would give 5 stars for the doctors but is obviously getting to them in the first place thats the issue whether it be phone or face to face. The practice seems to have so many members of staff milling around behind the counter and in offices so cant quite understand why it would take 45mins just to get through a phone queing system of 10! My old practise was 4 times the size in patients yet run completely smoothly with less staff. They are friendly and polite but its the procedures in this practice that are ridiculous. The online system is completely flawed and seems everyone has issues with it yet the practice does nothing about it to find a different system that works for everyone. How people who are not IT work with this I have no idea! If they insist on using computer systems to do peoples jobs for them then at least implement one that works!
