Co-op Food - Westminster - Westbourne Grove

This branch of Co-op has the bare minimum of essentials - which is okay if you just want the basic. Their fruit and vegetables are always fresh and the steak here is very good, and not too expensive 4.75 for Rump Steak 21 day matured. It cooks up well ! Their pizzas are tasty too.

Very small bijou branch. Don't expect to find a wide selection of sliced bread and packaged cakes. There is a fresh bakery section, a wide selection of biscuits and a reasonable amount of ready meals/ frozen foods. You will find navigation a bit frustrating. There's no seeming logic to the turns in the aisles. You have to turn far left to reach the freezers which is only obvious from the back of the shop rather than the front. The free from range is dumped at the far right back wall alongside a bewildering array of reduced giant chocolate bars. If you're caught short of lunch or a few staples for home it's ok to shop here but it is not a substitute for a proper shopping destination. Don't expect to find reasonably priced cereal here !

The staff are wonderful, the shop is useful and the fruit and veg are of very high quality.
