Gally Hills Boarding Kennels and Cattery

I called on 28/03 to arrange boarding for my dog on 07/04-09/04. This would be for the first time leaving my dog at boarding so I asked if it's possible to view the place first. This was possible and it was explained that I could drop in to the facilities during open hours and I said I might come on 01/04. There was no time or appointment set and at no point was it mentioned that this visit was a pre-condition for my dog to be dropped off on 07/04. Unfortunately I was not well and unable to drive on 01/04 so I left it and hoped to be able to drop in during the week when I could drive. On 04/04 I got a call from gally just to confirm that I still intended to bring my dog on 07/04. I confirmed this and again it was not mentioned that i should have visited on 01/04. I then received a voicemail on 05/04 saying my boarding is cancelled since I did not visit on 01/04. I can understand that the business may experience no shows however I confirmed my attendance and at no point was it explained that a pre visit was mandatory. It's a shame as from the reviews it sounds like the dogs are well looked after and I was looking for a regular place to use. I would advise caution to be prepared for a late cancellation where you may need to scramble for other options.

Can I ask if this kennels is heated during single figures winter temperatures please?

My cat Coco has just returned from a week at Gally Hills (now known as Mayflower). She is looking happy and healthy and its obvious she was well looked after. I will definitely be happy to use their services again.

Cat was very well looked after for a total of 8 days. Clean comfortable kennels with access to fresh air. All beds and bedding provided along with various toys to keep pets occupied. Daily cuddles provided
