What a wonderful day out. Getup early Sunday morning and enjoy a peaceful walk from Wickford. Stop off at Battlesbridges hidden gem "The Window cafe" aka Antique Centre cafe with tea and cake and complete your 10 mile walk back to Wickford knowing that cake is not sitting where it shouldn't be. :)

A nice location for a drink and a snack, unfortunatly it was cash only when we went which meant that we didnt get much as had limited cash on us! Seemed reasonably priced, and there is nice views out from the top of the Antiques centre!

Lovely little tea room with excellent views. We had tea and coffee but you can also get a bite to eat here. Staff were polite and welcoming. Toilets located on the ground floor outside, don't get to the top then realise you need to wee.

Well there is a view you get once you are up there! Mind the steps,it will take you some time to reach the top. Service was OK but the product not as we expected but anyway..sometimes it does happen. But otherwise lots of old things to see under the tea room if you find antique staff interesting.. Make sure you have a few hours for this since the area is full of old things..
