Bannatyne Spa Hotel

I've Given a 3 star review for publicity reasons for the Spa side of of the break. The Spa really does not give the hotel a good name. Having been to many Spa's, I will certainly say that this is just not a Spa. Having read reviews I must agree with most of them regarding the Spa. Firstly you never hire a robe and flop flops??? You've got to walk past the reception and people sitting eating in area opposite side to the reception. Never seen anything like it at a Spa. The staff at the reception for the gym run the Spa bookings too. Very unprofessional and not helpfull at all. I was chased for 12 for a massage upgrade despite me saying i was staying at the hotel and assumed it would be charged to my room. Reason for chase was head office chased them on a bank hoilday weeked? I had a facial booked Pleasant enough young lady but no experience at all. However the hotel was amazing. Superior room is lovely. One member of staff that was very helpful was Casey. Casey works in the hotel reception. Casey is an asset to The hotel customer services. Thank you for the service Casey you made all the negativity go away. Hopefully my review will change how the Spa and hotel are advertised. They should definitely not be advertised together. Went for a spa break for our 5th anniversary and felt thoroughly spoiled. The staff were fantastic and attentive. Front desk enquiries were a breeze through the WhatsApp chat function and they were kind enough to bring up a pot of oat milk at 8am when I sent a request. Food was amazing and the room felt spacious and very comfortable. Lovely hot and powerful shower and the spa treatments were so relaxing. Would definitely recommend
