Haine & Son

Very fortunate that I turned to Haine and Son Battle when my dear Dad passed away very early one morning. Never having been in the situation before, I turned to the Internet to help direct me to a company to care for Dad. I had walked past Haine and Son on several occasions and as it is really tucked away, unassumingly, in the corner of the market square, you tend not to take much notice - but how very glad am I that I sat that very sad morning and read through the reviews for this fabulous, tucked away jewel! From the first - very early morning phone call to ask for guidance and help - both Mum and I were scooped up and cared for for the entire process. Gabby - who helped us, always seemed so happy to hear from us - nothing was ever too much bother and there was always a cuppa and a very kind, listening ear if we ever went into the Branch. When the private hearse came to collect Dad - it was done with such dignity and respect and again - everything was explained clearly - handing over our very precious person was so very tough but it felt a little easier knowing he would be looked after and cared for with the utmost dignity. Andy, the Funeral Director and his team, were amazing too. Again, nothing was too much trouble and there was that very important sense of trust that Dad would be taken care of and treated with respect right until the very end. I could not recommend this brilliant Branch of wonderful, compassionate, caring, supportive people more. From the staff in Branch to all those other support staff - we really did strike gold when we made that call that sad day. All their help and support did make this really difficult part of the process so much easier and I know absolutely, that even weeks down the line, if we are struggling - there will always be a warm greeting and an offer of a cuppa at any time! Thank you all so much. Use this wonderful business who do so much more than you ever think possible. Thank you all so much for everything. You helped us make sure that even in death - we could give Dad the very best.

Kind and compassionate, calm and gentle, I felt I was in safe hands as soon as I first met Debbie. She and Nicky inspire confidence that everything will be taken care of, with minimum fuss and maximum care and competence. A difficult time made significantly easier thanks to them.

From the moment we met Nicky and Debbie we were totally put at ease after dreading what we were going to be faced with, they are the most kindest and empathetic people you could wish to meet at such a sad time. Their work was outstanding and the order of service cards literally took our breath away. Every time we had to visit them we left feeling so much better than when we arrived and they were always at the end of a phone if needed .Together they made our lives more bearable at such a sad time to which we will be eternally grateful. huge thanks Carole and steve
