I have recently started playing table tennis and having had some coaching decided that I needed to invest in a better bat to help improve my game. My coach and others at the club recommended that I speak with Steve at Custom Table Tennis. As it happened, the club was holding an open day where Steve, with his son representing Custom Table Tennis were going to be there. I went to the session and spoke with Steve who after asking me various questions gave me his recommendations of the bats that I should try. He had some of the bats with him and he even knocked up with me. I think that it was either his first or second recommended bat was that I ended up buying. I bought a Sam Clayton Koto Offensive Wood Nut Table Tennis Blade with Xiom Omega VII Tour rubbers. It is a beautiful made and responsive blade and with the Xiom rubbers the bat offers me more speed with lots of feel and a fair degree of control. It wasnt a bat that I expecting to buy as it is more advanced than my playing ability but having used the bat for about 2 weeks, my game has improved and some of that is down to the quality of the bat and following Steves advice and guidance. With Steve and Custom Table Tennis, you immediately see that he knows what he is talking about, Steve is genuine and offers his advice and help freely, with no pressure on you having to buy from him. Steve is a true gentleman and I would highly recommend him and Custom Table Tennis to anyone looking to get into, improve or at any level with their table tennis game.
