        I ordered a takeaway after I'd been into the restaurant to eat a while back so I thought I'd try there instead. As a chef I totally understand how busy it can get and when you're under pressure it can get frustrating but if the passion isn't there you shouldn't be cooking food full stop. I ordered at 17.46pm I had my food delivered within 30mins, only thing is my order was quite big and it I know how long it takes to cook all that in quick time, I could have waited the extra half hour for a bit of fresh food instead in tasted like yesterday's. The fact I know it was microwaved is terrifying as some parts of my food were cold some parts were hot. It's normally hot as soon as it arrives. Just disappointed I didn't get the same experience as I did when dining there.

        Chilli Lodge now on Bradford Road, Batley - used to be in Tingley. Booked in advance for a dinner for 19 on Jan 18 and took advantage of their Wednesday night 5-courses-for-14.95-deal. No drinks licence but Bargain Booze is next door. Everyone was impressed with the food, the service and the value. Hats off to the chef and helpers for coping with so many different orders for starters, mains and sundries from a big menu and getting them all to the table at the same time. Great food, amazing value. Well done Hassan and the back room staff. Recommended.
