I wish I could give a better review as I had high hopes after viewing the photos on the website and quick responses from the staff prior to the visit. On arrival, the property was extremely dusty and had not been cleaned properly. There was open food and drink left over from the previous guests in the fridge, stains in the toilet bowl and dust on every surface you laid a finger on. The basement games room was especially a no-go area - extremely musty and felt like it hadn't been cleaned or dusted out properly in ages. To make matters worse, I have a serious dust allergy and fell very sick within one night of being there. At some point, I had to ask myself why I had left my clean home to come on this so-called staycation as it certainly felt like a waste of money that could have been better spent. We had requested a cot and high chair for the toddler - and it was confirmed this would be included, however no sign of it during our stay. It is really quite a shame, as the property itself is idyllic, has lots of space, good access to transport options and in a lovely area. However, poor maintenance and inadequate standard of cleanliness means that you may be better off booking a hotel anyway just for the minimum standard of hospitality guaranteed.
