Had the pleasure of finding this wonderful old skool pub on our last day in bath it most certainly did not disappoint we arrived to early so had to wait the gentleman behind the bar was an absolute gentleman nothing was too much trouble for him I was driving home so I had a soft drink and my freind fancied a white russian which he sorted quickly and very efficiently now onto the food I had been hankering for fish and chips all day must be living by the sea and I can honestly say it was absolutely fabulous the fish just melted in your mouth the beer batter was stunning crisp golden brown good old chunky chips and must peas my freind ordered the wagu burger and that was equally as stunning brioche bun the burger was cooked to perfection both meals superbly presented very efficient and freindly service from the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home carnt wait to return wonderful food great staff it was a fabulous end to a great weekend so looking forward to returning to this fabulous public house cannot recommend them enough

The service was just absolutely dire. Any member of staff that I spoke to just seemed absolutely baffled by simple questions like asking for a table or whether they wanted us to order at the bar or take our order. After being told that it was table service, we gave it about 20mins before going in to ask someone to take our order. Drinks then took another 15-20mins to come out and the wait on food was 30-40mins so it was about an hour before we were eating which is absolutely heinous given how expensive everything is. The food was average at best, again, very overpriced for how poor everything else was. The bill had service charge added despite no one speaking to us without us seeking them out which was just an absolute joke.

Service was slightly slow which is the only reason this isnt a five star review. Food was excellent, place had heaps of charm, location was great.
