Touchstone - Bath

Never in my life have i ever dealt with a company like this. Get ready on moving out of your house cause you will be billed for EVERYTHING. We lived in a house for 5 years and amongst other things were billed 25 for a mat that was outside that rotted and fell apart. You have to ask permission for every little thing you do but make sure you get it in writing as a verbal agreement will suddenly not have happened. Our back garden was flooding to the point of going over the patio door so we got verbal approval to extend the patio laying sand under it for drainage (it was just mud before no grass) the garden looked so much better then it did when we moved in and we have been billed 200 for laying it. this has also been used as a selling point when renting the house again Friends of mine had a house opposite ours and changed the blinds but kept the same fixing ( the blinds were better) and the old blinds were in the garage. they have been charged 10 per blind . Takes them weeks to respond to anything unless you are late in your rent. The houses are all owned by a pension scheme or similar so all they care about is getting as much money out of you as possible

Renting an apartment managed by Touchstone residential. Found that someone is repeatedly sleeping in the stairwell of my building as security doors compromised despite multiple complaints about entrance doors not being properly secured and left open. Also had 50 worth of mail stolen and my car broken into in the "secure carpark" earlier in the year due to the same problem. The only action that has been taken is an occasional email circulated to tenants asking them to close doors behind them, taking days or weeks to fix broken security doors and putting a poorly functioning hinge on the carpark security door, which fails to cause the door to lock. The person sleeping in the stairwell is smoking in the building and could have mental health problems and may be confrontational to any tenants that may encounter them on the stairs. This is a serious security and fire hazzard and I am very disappointed to not receive any contact from this company and no attempted to clean up the mess left behind by the man sleeping in this building.

RIP off. For their extortionate rent prices. On my sisters property ,Plus bully tactics, and harassment towards her, which she is a single mum , with anxiety and depression, plus she has a severely disabled son, and all because she couldn't afford the rent hike prices , on their property. Which is 982 on a small 3 bed attached property is outrageous. My mortgage is no where near that .

We left our house 6 weeks ago, got the check out report on the 12/1/23, however we haven't received our deposit back yet. They don't answer the phone and if they do they just send you to another person and hang up on you. Sent multiple emails to our property manager, Sophie who is ignoring our emails. Will go to the next step... My advice is to avoid this company if you don't want stress in your life.
