I walked in needing help with my glasses that had become uncomfortable. They replaced the nose silicone buds and made as adjustment to my frames whilst I waited and all at no cost. Thank you so much.

I had really great experience buying glasses from E&K yesterday (Saturday). First they were really helpful in finding the right pair of glasses - there was a mountain of glasses on the counter before we found the right one. Then I mentioned I needed them urgently - I was willing to wait until Monday. They happened to have the lenses in stock and so they kindly turned them around within a couple of hours. I was not expecting at all to be leaving with prescription glasses on the same day. Thank you to the two staff that day - they exceeded my expectations and so they deserve a good review.

Awful experience! I needed new lenses in my glasses so E & K recommended I have 2 back to back appts: one for a prescription check and one to discuss lens options. They sent an appt reminder and I arrived for my appt at the time they sent. When I arrived they said I had missed my first appt, but then agreed that it was the fault of their reminder system which had not included the first appt time. They said I had to return another day as I had missed it. I wasn't happy about this as I had taken time off work and paid for parking to get there. After some discussion, they squeezed my appt in, but made it feel like they were doing me a favour. The lenses were ordered and arrived quickly in store, but their cutting machine broke on the day I was due to deliver my frames and I had to reschedule the appt to drop and collect them. When I finally had the lenses fitted, 1 of them was the wrong prescription. My vision was blurred and I could hardly see anything out of of it. They said I should try them, but it would have been dangerous to drive, so I asked for the lenses to be removed, my old ones put back in and a new one ordered. I was told that the lens couldn't be wrong and errors never occur. Again, I was made to feel like I was at fault and that I had somehow given the wrong answers during my eyesight check. I rescheduled another appt & returned another day to have the sight test with a different optician. When I arrived, they couldn't find a record of the appt on their system and I had to explain what had happened and they made me wait ages while they, again, just did me a favour by finding a slot between other appts. The test confirmed the original prescription, but again I was asked what the problem was with the lenses and that I must have been looking through the wrong part of the lens. (I have had varifocals for 7 years - I know where to look!) Once I got home, I decided that I had never had such awful customer service and phoned E & K to ask for a refund. They gave me this immediately. Mr K phoned me the next day to find out what had happened and when he heard he said he would provide the lenses free of charge to recompense for the poor service. I agreed but now, 3 months later, I have heard nothing from them. Frankly, if this is the best they can offer, I'm surprised they are still in business!

Service is different level to any other optician I've ever been to. Can't fault them.
