Rachel Irons Garden Design Studio

Rachel was very easy to work with, extremely knowledgable and listened to our requirements, providing useful advice and ideas. She designed our garden and provided a planting plan which she then planted. She recommended a landscaper (Mark) who together with his team brought Rachel's design to life. It has been 8 months since the work completed and our garden is beautiful, just as Rachel desrcibed it and we are very very happy. We would happily utilise Rachel's services again. Rachel helped us enormously in designing and creating a completely new layout in our back garden. She has an excellent eye for detail and is able to understand an outline brief and develop that into a great design. This was the first time that we used a design service for our garden. Rachel came highly recommended and we were absolutely delighted with the services and results she provided. She really helped us understand that is just as important to invest in your outside 'room' as it is your decorating inside the house. We look forward to spending many years enjoying our new outside space that Rachel designed for us. During the process Rachel was patient, understanding and flexible when needed and we would highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of re-designing their garden, whether small, medium or large.

Rachel was entirely supportive of our ideas from the start of the planning process for our garden whilst also making creative suggestions. Now that Rachel has planted the garden it has been lovely to see the ideas come to fruition. We look forward to watching the garden fill out and develop.

Our garden was overdue for a major overhaul. We decided to get a professional designer and Rachel impressed from the first time we met her. A very good decision. A very professional designer with whom it was easy to develop options to meet our needs. Good planning skills to merge our needs for an attractive but low maintenance garden with an enlarged patio. Knowledge of plants etc and how to position them to achieve the desired effect was very much appreciated. Looking forward to springtime next year to fully enjoy our new garden!

Rachel did a great job designing my new garden in 2016. Its only a small garden, with quite a slope and unusual shape, but she made use of every inch to provide a decent patio, a small lawn, plenty of plants and a pergola to add height and make the most of the view and the late evening sun. Its now matured into a wonderful space that is admired by friends, visited by birds, bees and butterflies and keeps the dog happy. In summer it is full of colour, but has plenty of structure all year round. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone wanting a stylish but practical garden design.
