After a succession of cleaners who were variously unreliable, incapable, unwilling to follow instructions or dishonest finding Kwik Clean feels like a miracle! Their cleaning is first class, they are reliable, flexible, responsive, trustworthy and nothing is too much trouble. They have made my life so much easier. I have used using Kwik Clean for end of tenancy cleaning, holiday rental changeover and for cleaning in my own house. They have always done their best to help me, even at short notice, and the level of their service has never been disappointing. I originally employed Simon and his team to carry out the check-out cleans at several short-let properties I manage in Bath, and then later on to help with small maintenance and decorating jobs. Whilst initially the cleans were impressive, the standard began to deteriorate and I was regularly receiving negative feedback from guests. I was paying them for 2 hour minimum cleans, yet certain areas were continually being missed. My emails addressing these problems were ignored, however the invoices that I received at the end of every month were not! The one time I happened to be visiting the building where the properties are situated, I noted their cleaner was only in the apartment she was cleaning for an hour, and upon inspection after she had left I could clearly see where the guests had felt that the clean had been unsatisfactory. I understand why cleaning companies require 2 hour minimum cleans, however with this comes a minimum standard expected to be delivered, especially for a small one bedroom flat. I also employed them to wash, dry and press the linen, of which they charged me 20 per changeover for. Again, upon inspection, I noticed that the linen was mismatched and crumpled. Not only did they deny not pressing the laundry (which it VERY clearly hadnt been) they blamed the mismatched laundry on there not being sufficient matching sets, despite me telling them to always let me know if I needed to order replacements when necessary. They always had an excuse for their errors, and refused to take accountability, making it very awkward and uncomfortable for me whenever I needed to raise an issue. On top of the cleaning, I employed them to carry out small maintenance jobs. I was charged 65 for Simon to change a couple of lockboxes and fire alarm batteries which seemed rather excessive, however at the time I struggled to find maintenance workers so instructed further work to be done. This time I was charged 125 for jobs that would have taken no longer than a couple of hours. In retrospect I should have established the terms of payment, however I was then told by Simon he would charge 15 per hour for any further work so it baffles me how he priced his previous jobs! After it becoming apparent that I was being taken for a fool, for both the cleaning and maintenance, I received the most shocking call from one of the guests, who is only a 20 year old girl - she told me that somebody had tried to access her flat with a key late one night, then ran down the stairs and sped off when she called out at them. She managed to get their reg plate, and I soon found out it was Simons. He gave me a completely different story and was very defensive, and not only accused the guest of lying but then threatened to go down there and confront her directly! I was absolutely mortified and at this point it was clear that I had to dismiss the company with immediate effect from returning to the property. I remained very calm throughout this, yet only a few days later I received various invoices from them with additional charges that had never been agreed to. I paid the invoices that were due in their correct amounts, and disputed the ones that had been unfairly issued. Ive since been threatened with court action and late payment fees which is shameful given the circumstances. They are bullies who act viciously when questioned. Simon acts like a complete thug and has made some very concerning comments in the past about how he has dealt with people who get on the wrong side of him. I have avoided posting a review for some time now, however I felt it was important to publicly provide a full and accurate account of my experience with Kwik Clean because of how serious the matter has now become.
