The Windsor Townhouse

We stayed here for one night but unfortunately we did not find it 5 star as advertised at all. The room was very dusty in areas and when we arrived there was a horrible smell by the front desk. The lady did clean our room but she still left loads of dirty areas unfortunately. The glasses next to the bed were dirty and the tea and coffee making facilities in room were very 2/3 star. Kettle dirty. The room though was lovely but take ear plugs as its on a main road. I found breakfast was tasty but again there was issues with cleanliness. The lady was very chatty but later forgot what we spoke about when we went to check out. A bit over priced for what really was a b and b. In a great location for Bath though.

Lovely B & B located on a beautiful, centrally located street in Bath. We enjoyed three nights at the Windsor and the highlights were its great location close to the Abbey, shopping and restaurants; the delicious and filling daily breakfasts but, most of all the amazing guest service. The owner and staff went above and beyond to accommodate us even doing our laundry at no charge! The room was quite comfortable and roomy but in all honesty I do feel the room was dated and in need of some minor upkeep/repair. I also don't feel the accommodation reflected a true 5 star establishment, more a 4 star. That being said, the customer care and genuine welcoming atmosphere we experienced bumped the Windsor up to my 5 star rating.

Lovely location and liked the room and slept well. Breakfast was also good. Minor issues are the following; cleanliness needs improving in the rooms, nothing terrible but was surprised that the room had not been properly cleaned during our stay; tea and coffee in the room was not refreshed on a daily basis and neither was toilet roll. All would have been ok but the reception is there only limited hours with the provision of an emergency number - missing tea is not an emergency just an annoyance that I was not expecting given the price. Additionally check in could be improved. Calling at 7pm on our arrival yet no one there was suboptimal (this was in the small print of the booking confirmation but I did not spot it until our arrival). Luckily we were part of a bigger party and were able to gain access. Overall 3/5; could be easily improved.

Faulty townhouse Our reception was welcoming and friendly unfortunately the reception is only open a short time. Out of date Bath official visitors guide ,? No parking , no bar & nobody around why have I paid over 252 for this. Dated grubby and freying furnishings . Last decorated in the dark ages Double bed is twin single trampoline beds ramped together with a grand canyon between you both. Carpet is very old. We kept our socks on. There is a spare dog blanket in the drawer , if you get cold. Dust is everywhere. Overloaded multi electric extension leads with no overload protection. Lyons go-Joe Coffee Awful. Not even a box of tissues. Come on Winsor Townhouse. It would not take a lot of money to bring this room up to 5 star New carpet Re paint the room. Beds are like sleeping on a trampoline? Sort your electrics out. Is a couple of biscuits to much to ask for with some fresh milk & some wine glasses?. A coffee pod system just like 8 a b&b in Bath. Its run like an Airbnb. With a cooked breakfast. 5 star don't do plastic flowers on the table for breakfast. Several bulbs out on stairway. Locally sourced 1 x Walls sausage ,& 1 skinny piece of bacon with cold beans served on a cold plate. This is 3 star just. When you have stayed in a 5 star hotel winsor townhouse in bath , you realise you live in a 10 star home ?
