Do not stay here if you hope to sleep. The hotel is directly above a nightclub which stays open until 4am. The hotel is pretty basic and grubby. It smelled of a backing up drain and cigarettes. The mattresses are uncomfortable and the bathroom fittings were covered in mould, rust and limescale. Staying here ruined my weekend.

I feel short changed. I visited this hotel a couple of times about five years ago, and was appalled at the cost of a one night stay coming to 160. It's a 2-star Travelodge, for crying out loud. I've just checked the prices again and they're almost up to 200 now. Room quality consistent with that of a room costing 50. Food & drinks: Wagamamas nearby

I am writing this at 3.30 in the morning in room 3 of Bath Central . I have been awake all night on account of the night club which appears to be directly under my room. My daughter and I have both been to reception to ask to be moved to a different room. We were told the hotel is completely full. The noise level is completely unacceptable. Im not talking about a little background base or a few people in the street, and Im not someone who needs silence to sleep, but this feels like were actually in the club - we can clearly hear the DJs every word and we can hear (and feel) every beat. The website mentions that the hotel is close to Baths thriving nightlife .Not a problem- Ive been coming to Bath for years and I know the area well, Ive also stayed in this hotel at least twice before without issue in different rooms) but I have never experienced this level of noise that has kept me awake all night- it is the location of this room that is the problem. ( We booked a double, but for some reason were allocated a family room- I cant imagine trying to spend the night here with children with the constant racket going on all night.) I have to drive back home tomorrow morning and then go to work later , this after literally being kept awake all night. I really feel it is unreasonable to sell a room in these conditions on nights that the club is open. When you book a hotel you are entitled to expect a certain level of quiet ( not necessarily silence) , but sufficient to actually sleep. Never again! Rooms: Dont accept rooms 1-5 if you want to actually sleep at some point!
