The Common Room

Very disappointing. For a bar that is (presumably) meant to be progressive, they only search single drinkers on entry. Made me (an autistic man) feel incredibly self aware and ashamed, just because I wanted to go and have a quiet drink with my thoughts. Large parties were allowed entry without any question, but I was the problem. The girl on the door was perfectly pleasant, just too young to understand how hypocritical the policy she is blindly enforcing is. Single men not welcome.

Very disappointing. Went along to the bar at 5pm on a Sat, as part of a pub crawl with a group of 30-50yr(!) old academics. Most but not all of the party had IDs, but we were turned away and had to go elsewhere. Could it be that the young staff was lazy and didn't want to serve the party? Not sure, perhaps, or just overly rigid and happy to lose business. Won't be returning.

Great - just great... Small but spacious. Well run, friendly staff, including door security - very nice ambiance

Lovely bar with a great atmosphere - Dave the bartender was really helpful and friendly! Would highly recommend.
