We are on holiday in Bath. We went into this branch to organise our change of address. We were served by Apostolos who dealt with our enquiry in a really helpful and friendly manner. He was a great ambassador for Halifax and for the city of Bath and we came away feeling that we had not just had our matter dealt with but feeling uplifted by his personality.

Absolute clowns opens when they feel like it closed the account and open up a bank that values customers and not run the business like a circus

Today at 9.50am my husband took out money from The Halifax cashpoint at 38 Southgate Street, Bath. I then went inside to ask if I could change a 10 for a 5 note and 5 x 1 coins as even in a pandemic, you still need some change! Not every machine in the country has been calibrated to accept credit cards. The Bath Halifax was empty apart from a cashier and a blonde haired woman employee. The woman asked what I wanted and I politely explained. She asked if I banked with the Halifax and I truthfully said I didn't. She then said I needed to go to my own bank for change. She asked who I banked with and I answered with Nat West. She said Nat West was only a short distance away! Sadly, as I need a new hip, walking back even a short distance wasn't possible this morning. So....I felt like a naughty schoolgirl even though I'm in my late sixties. I felt patronised by someone who knows nothing about me. This was so unhelpful and will be remembered. If I was going into the branch asking for bags of change I could understand it....but change for 10...really? Perhaps this woman would be better on back room tasks that don't involve customers! Take your customer elsewhere. Don't bank here. They are unfriendly and unhelpful and are not here to help as their advert states!
