We couldn't be happier with Matt and Flo's designs for our loft. A tricky narrow Victorian townhouse (most of our street said it couldn't be done!) but some planning permission and a masterpiece of a staircase later and we're in love. The whole flow of the house works so much better their plans used the space infinitely better than we could have planned ourselves. Matt and Flo are just about the friendliest, most down-to-earth people you could meet, and it was a pleasure communicating with them throughout the project. Thanks again for all your hard work :)

We appointed Sicolo Webb architects to design a lower ground floor extension on our Victorian terrace in Bath. Throughout the process were were constantly impressed with Matt's diligence and communication. He completely understood our intent and worked hard to come up with a design which maximised our budget with very few compromises. A local Bath-based business, owner Matt was approachable and made it very easy to ask questions. He had designed another house on our street which turned out stunning. He also recommended local structural engineers and builders throughout. Would 100% recommend and use again.

We approached Sicolo Webb to help us with a design to extend our house. The brief was to create a large kitchen, additional shower room and to wrap the extension into an old outhouse to create a further room. As with all older houses this was not as straightforward as it first appeared! Matt and Flo understood immediately what we were trying to do, and took on board that we wanted more than just a box on the back of the house. Their initial ideas reflected everything we had asked for and they then worked with us to finalise a design that would come in on budget. They were patient and on hand at any time to give us and the builders practical help alongside explaining the technical details throughout the build. Their reassuringly calm approach made the whole process much easier for us and have given us a home that we have fallen back in love with. Could not recommend more highly!

Matt was recommended to me by a highly skilled London based architect and have been very happy with what we have achieved together. You will not be disappointed if you appoint Matt on your project. We appointed Matt to design and seek necessary listed building approvals for a complicated conversion and refurbishment of a 1 bedroom flat in a listed building in Central Bristol. The brief was to find innovative and precise solution to maximise the use of space (including a mezzanine floor for use as a work and storage space). The brief also required maximizing storage space by using clever design and applying simple but highly effective architectural ideas. The ultimate objective was to create an adaptable space allowing you to enjoy the space, as a home ways you would not think possible. The final design also included the removal of unnecessary stud walls, which separated the hallway from the bedroom and bathroom, allowing light to flood in from 2 large windows. The work was not limited to an architectural brief but also required a high level of design skills to ensure every inch of the space is considered and optimized. It was also important to carefully consider materials and how used. Matt has a great knowledge and experience in both areas. We also wanted to push boundaries and set a very high bar for the project to ensure the final result is admired and respected by architects, designers and potential clients. One of our objectives was to set the benchmark for future projects in small/modest spaces. Matt has exceled in all the above including the practical building and construction elements. Matt also enjoys a good relationship with the relevant trades, important given the current market. Matt listens carefully, is easy to work with and excellent team player. When combined with his strong inter personal skills he is well placed to be a hugely successful architect as his career and reputation grows.
