Parkergate

One bedroom had two very cheap, uncomfy beds. When stripped they had old mattresses covered with ticking. A fabric I remember post-war as a child. The king-size bed in the loft could only be accessed on one side, unless one is extremely height challenged. There was a dishwasher but since there were only 4 mugs, side-plates, plates, etc. It was irrelevant unless the two of us were to drink or eat only twice each day. The fridge was missing two shelves so food storage was impeded. ie: no door shelf for milk. The manager's husband was very pleasant. The views were fabulous from our small terrace, complete with table and chairs. The Sun Inn in nearby Bassenthwaite should be recommended.

Absolutely fantastic place and location. I really cant fault it. Lovely spacious property and very clean. Beautiful sunset over the mountains in a a very peaceful location. I would love to give a bad review so that I could always get a booking when I want. I've already booked to go back in a few weeks and again in a few more after that. The people who manage it are the friendliest and helpful people ive had the pleasure to meet. Very genuine in every way.
