Check-in is via a tablet...to speed things up. No good if booked by a third party. You then need a member of staff. Room had an iron & ironing board which is good. No shaver socket. No fridge. OK for a short stay. Need to register car for free parking. Breakfast has reasonable choices, staff are fantastic. Bar food isn't to my liking for the prices charged, bar staff could learn from breakfast staff.

This hotel is situated a 15 min walk from the town centre, so quirme convenient. We had evening tickets for the Anvil, so were able to check in, relax, eat, and have pre theatre drinks, then enjoy a stroll to the show. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we got a slightly earlier check-in when we arrived. Room was clean and modern, comfortable bed, and large shower in bathroom. Due to the design, only one small window situated in the bathroom, but as this was only partition by opaque glass, it surprisingly did provide adequate light. Breakfast buffet style, reasonable choices, but things running out meant random periods of waiting for replenishment. There are two lifts, but for some reason, only one was working, which was a bit inconvenient at busier times. We didn't use other facilities as only on an overnight stay, however, there was a gym, sauna and whirlpool bath. All in all, a very pleasant stay, and I would certainly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future.
