Myself and my son found it almost impossible last week to even get through to the surgery last week as my son had a unexplained bruise on his leg and a protruding vein above it, it was very painful. We did eventually get through only to be told that the appointments were fully booked and the doctors have been busy on calls, why they are so busy calling patients and not seeing them face to face is beyond me, anyway my sons leg was so painful by yesterday that he went straight to the hospital, he had three blood clots in his leg and was told that if they had travelled to the top of his leg above his knee it could have been fateful, thank God they were below the knee, he was given medication to disperse the clots, my son is a teacher and has had to take time of work unnecessarily, if only a doctor had seen him last week and sorted out the diagnosis, their incompetence must be costing this country multi millions of pounds from not seeing patients and people having to take time of work until they can be bothered to do so. And they want a pay rise, its laughable and a crying shame that our NHS is going to the DOGS, (thank God also for A n E )as Ive said in previous review the management and GPs need to get of the phone put down your coffees and hang your heads in shame,
