Shangri-la Basingstoke

Been meaning to review this place for ages. Went in here recently and was met by children in outdoor jackets wandering about behind the till. After about 10 minutes of waiting an adult finally appeared. Made my order, collected it and took it home. When I tipped out what I thought was prawn fried rice, I soon realised it was pork fried rice (I don't eat meat). I called the takeaway and told them they had mucked up the order, she told me if I want prawn it's "1 extra!'". Couldn't be bothered to argue, went back with a pound in my pocket. When I arrived she started demanding the pork fried rice be brought back! I told her I'd tipped it on a plate and wasn't standing there with a spoon squeezing it back into the pot.. Got prawn rice in the end but ruined the evening. Don't bother, it's not worth the grief. Shambolic place

Vegetarian options: Mushroom curry nice There's plenty of other veggie options to choose next time.
