My company was approached by SMT Ambulance Service to provide a specialised PMVA courses suitable to the work they undertake on behalf of the private and public NHS for secure hospitals and services. I am leaving this review as several things have stood out for me from my time at their centre in Basildon. Firstly, the quality of not just the service itself, but the infrastructure they have built specifically to manage the provision of the service is second to none. The attention to detail even down to shower room setup and kitchen facilities really shows the how important the staff are to the organisation, and making sure they have all the provisions they need to work effectively is very apparent. Then there are vehicles themselves. Every vehicle was kept immaculate and well maintained. They were well designed interiors with ambient lighting and air conditioning to make the service user feel more comfortable while in transit. Lastly I would like to mention the staff. Considering the majority of the staff I met had not worked directly with service users within the clinical field before, their attitude and approach to care, and managing challenging behaviour was better and more on point than many clinical staff I have encountered. Professional, responsive and first class service provided by specialist medical transport! We phoned and the transport arrived within 15mintues. The staff who attended were extremely supportive and helpful. Would highly recommend this service!
