Recently County Plumbing were call out on a Sunday evening to investigate a water leak in a block of flats, in which we own a rental apartment. They were on site for 2 hours and found that there was a leak in our cistern which is behind a panel. This was secured. Call out charge was 600. 250 per hour +VAT The following day they returned to replace a ball valve and repair some piping. In addition they have previously noted that a new flush handle was required. They did the work less the flush handle, but agreed that they would procure one. Cost: 231 They did not return so to complete the job we called out our regular plumber who discovered that the 'repaired ' fill valve was still leaking, albeit a a much less rate. This was fixed. Cost 223. I attempted to discuss all of this with County but the manager said there was 'nothing to discus' and put the phone down. He then hassled the neighbour who had originally called them out. Leaking emergencies are always stressful but in this we also experienced a poor service. Most reputable plumbers advertise their rates on their website. Be warned Service: Plumbing leak detection
