I highly recommend Neil as an instructor! He was patient and positive, throughout the session. He praised my moments of progress, no matter how small they were, which always made me feel motivated and encouraged. Even when I made mistakes, Neil always took the time to explain from a theoretical perspectiven, as well providing experiences taken from his own life to drive home the importance. Beyond his excellent teaching skills, Neil is a great guy to be around. He's down-to-earth, friendly, and has a good sense of humor which made the session enjoyable and engaging. Although this was onlt my first session , I felt I learned so much more than expected and left having some simple and effective moves that I can start practicing today. Overall, I can't recommend Neil enough - if you're looking for an MMA instructor who is skilled, supportive, and professional, he's your guy

I started training with USD in March 2016. Already Ive picked up a lot and as a result, my awareness has improved loads. When people ask me what Im learning I say its like no-frills Mixed Martial Arts (direct, straight to the point) Although Neil does also show a passive option. Because I was so impressed I got my 11-year-old son involved who loves it and is coming on really well. Neil teaches very well and includes the respect needed for one and another. By the same token, its always fun and never boring. I Certainly would recommend USD.
