        Went to the Gin and Jazz evening for 40 p/h. Had the Jazz but where was the gin on arrival? Would have been a nice touch and would have eased the congestion at the Peacocktail bar. Went through to the dining area which was at best cramped, with a couple of tables almost in amongst the band. One of the tables had to leave straight after dinner guessing they were just too close to stay any longer! The food was simple but very tasty. The servers were all very friendly, but a little training in serving the food wouldn't go a miss. It's the first time and hopefully the last that I've seen food served with the sleeves of a jumper because the plate was too hot to hold!!! The bar in the corner of the room was under utilised and inaccessible and would have been better as a small dance floor to dance to the very well played jazz music. The drinks were reasonably priced with a nice selection of wine. The overall experience was good, but could have just done with that little extra touch here and there.
