Our children love their time at Barton and it's going to be a sad day when the youngest one finally leaves and heads off to secondary school. The school is welcoming and friendly with such a great ethos which balances academic success with so many other wonderful opportunities (such as Young Voices which they absolutely loved) and the promotion of important values that help the children to see that who they are is important and not just what they are able to do. As parents we've always found the school willing to make time to listen to any concerns that we might have and we'd definitely recommend the school to anyone.

When my son started at this school i thought great a place where people are going to help our son who has learning difficulties but no we were so wrong on sports day in July another child was kicking my boy in the back of his head i got up and took my son away from this other child ,which there was a teacher sitting near them at the time which the teacher did nothing about it .So when every one went home i went back to the school to ask what was going on they told me months ago my son was not getting bullied but I found out that day by his teacher he is getting picked on by 5 boys so I said to her and the head teacher ,what are you going to do about it ?and the head teacher said back to me if you don't like it find another school I was so cross and anger that she didn't want to help sort the situation out but to tell you to find another school in october my son got hit In the eye which was a small injury due to so called rough play. The next day he came home with a full blown black eye and he is only 5 years old all down to being bullied. The head teacher is out of her depth and needs to accept her school needs help and to stop sugar coating the place that it's a great school when it's not .They even go to extreme lengths to make them look great like going against a doctor who diagnosed my son with his condition by saying there is nothing wrong with him when he has a full diagnosis from a specialist doctor who has been in the game for 30+years .senco is useless .Some parents are very snobby and higher class parents for instance are treated a lot better than your average middle class parent .clearly a divide going on .I thought that church people were not like that and people with religious beliefs were kind and caring .
