I left four items for framing in May 2022 Despite several follow up visits the items were never ready and now the shop has closed. I am trying to trace my items - this is most upsetting

Requested my painting to be framed by this framing shop in New Milton and selected a frame with a brushed silver finish and a shiny silver inlay. I also specifically asked for the frame to be deep enough so that when hung it would be flush with the wall. Received my painting with a frame that had a copper tinted brushed finish and the frame was not deep enough to house the thickness of the canvas and so it would not lie flush against a wall when hung. Went back to the shop to demonstrate the colour discrepancy and even though the owner said he could see the colour difference between the sample and the frame he categorically refused to change the frame, insisting that that was the frame chosen and that was the end of the matter. He then ushered me out of the shop insisting that he was busy with other work and had no more time to discuss this issue. As a result I didn't get an opportunity to mention the incorrect frame thickness problem. I'm now left with a frame that is not suitable for my painting and the owner has benefited to the tune of over 200. I can see that there are only two reviews for the many years that this shop has been open and the most recent one is two years ago. I find it hard to believe that there have been no reviews written in all that time and that if there were I'm sure that they would not have all been 5 star ones! I only wish there had been more reviews to read before taking my painting to such an incompetent and unhelpful framing service which doesn't accept any responsibility when things have gone wrong.
