Fantastic reserve. Little gift shop with snacks and a hot drink machine. Very friendly, helpful staff. And we got a really good view of two bitterns!

After too many years of not visiting Far Ings I made the snap decision of heading there and how pleased I did . As I drove down the Visitor Centre drive a Marsh Harrier glided across in front of me to the Reed beds . During the course of the morning I observed a pair of Goldeneye ducks busily diving ,varied wildfowl , Reed buntings and two very friendly Robin's at close quarters . Briefly hearing a hidden Bittern boom was an added bonus . The Visitor Centre located by the Humber bank path is open to All and a perfect stop for coffee and small gifts . It was manned by a friendly and knowledgeable female Trust staff member . I recommend a visit and join the Lincs Wildlife Trust .
