I was lucky enough to visit recently and cannot express what a wonderful place. The volunteer staff were so welcoming, and added to my knowledge of Ted Lewis greatly. I own a few of his books and it was great to see them set in the context of his career. It is probably a little off any tourist track but so worth going out of your way to visit not just if you are a fan of Ted but British crime writing generally. Lots to see and plenty of items on sale. best of all it does not charge admission, but I was certainly happy to make a donation. A great way to inform and celebrate the author's life.

Very interesting, informative host and extremely generous. Any fan of Ted Lewis and Get Carter should visit. Maps to tour Lewis' old haunts in Barton available which were very useful. Thank you Monty!
