Nice church, run by English Heritage. Worth a visit. Very interesting things from a research and educational point of view, due to the excavation of the tombs and the study of bodies recovered. Burials traditions through time.

We had an interesting tour of the church and learned all about its history from a very knowledge gentleman. A pity I did not note his name but thanks from the Leeds group that visited on Friday 23 September 2022.

1/7/22 Very fascinating church taken over by english Heritage, so now a museum. This one is all about buried bodies which were excavated from the church. Information boards show how the bones are used to investigate the lives of people and why they died. Structure of church is preserved and is a fine example of a Saxon church with its tower. There is information about how this church evolved. A shop, interactive displays and friendly staff also available.Definitely worth a visit.
