The Swan Inn

On our brief trip to Winchester, staying close by, we left the A303 to explore Barton Stacey and stumbled across The Swan. Such a warm welcome, and delightful atmosphere. The log fire lit and a throng of locals enjoying their evening with gentle chatter and laughter, all so friendly and happy to include us in conversation. We chose steak and ale pie, which turned out to be the most delicious pie we have eaten in a very long time!!! Buttery shortcrust pastry packed with tender steak and tasty gravy... Super scrummy. Not to forget the wonderful real ale which was a perfect accompaniment. We even came back the following evening on our way back north. Thank you for making us feel so at home. Lovely friendly pub local customer very welcoming and warm lovely lighting and DOG FRIENDLY had trouble with my meal but easily fixed so overall good Thank-you

Came here with my family for my birthday meal tonight and couldnt of been happier! Absolutely amazing food! I had the Brie wedge, camembert platter and apple pie and the food was the best meal we have had around the area! Would absolutely recommend. Such a cosy, friendly and welcoming pub that I would go to every day if I could. A lovely pub dog called rudy who was super well behaved and a lovely owner and staff. Would recommend this pub to anyone and everyone!! Such a range of food aswell. Couldnt be happier
