Ordered a scheduled delivery tonight via Uber eats for a time slot of 9:30-10pm as partner was out hence needing it for this time. They turned up at 7:30! The poor delivery guys was very apologetic however when he phoned the manager to complain, the manager was rude and totally unhelpful telling us hes too busy we cant just expect a delivery when we want and that we should take it now. When I tried explaining that we had ordered a scheduled delivery for a certain time for a reason and that the restaurant had accepted our order I was again told no you take it now we dont have time to deliver when you want it! Awful manager and terrible customer service. Whats the point of having the option for a timed delivery if you are not going to honour it? Needless to say this was not acceptable we returned the food and asked for a full refund so the restaurant have wasted some poor guys time and petrol to deliver and all the food I hope will not be re-used and will be going in the bin. All because they cant honour something that is offered to their customers. Will not be using them again

My partner and I regularly visit this restaurant and have had many take aways, however this evening I was extremely disappointed with the service we received. When placing the order, the man on the phone said it would be 45-50 mins which I accepted. We were still waiting for our food an hour and a half later so I rang the restaurant for an update and the man said it was coming. I explained I had been waiting way over the scheduled time and yet they still could not tell me how long it would be. I asked if we could receive some discount/money off as we had now been waiting over 1 hour 40 mins. The man refused this and said he couldnt afford to offer me anything so he will not deliver the food. I then explained that this is not good enough and that I shouldnt have to ring round for another delivery after waiting nearly 2 hours. He then said he would take 1 off the bill, in which I said thats not acceptable. He then said take it or leave it and began laughing. Our food arrived after 1 hour 55 mins and was of course, cold. I understand places are struggling and money is tight for everyone but good customer service costs nothing. The man on the phone was incredibly rude and found the whole conversation highly amusing. Safe to say I wont be visiting again.
