12-10-2022 St Mary's is one of only two round towered churches in Cambridgeshire, the Other being St Peter's in Snailwell. Hidden away from the road by another building first view surprises you into this intimate churchyard and tidy church. The gems of St Mary are the wall paintings of St George and his dragon and a very detailed St Christopher. Windows have surviving mediaeval glass at the very top of the tracery, look out for boss-eyed lions, one of which is upside down.
