We absolutely love coming to this site, we always have a very relaxing peaceful stay. The site is always clean and tidy and very pretty with two small fishing lakes and some of the most beautiful sunsets over the water. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of our favourite places when we just want to get away from it all. The dogs love it too.

I stayed for 6 months whilst working locally before making a permanent move to Suffolk. Gamekeepers Lodge was ideal with all the facilities I needed 9 (though a full length mirror would have been fab!). The woods and lakes are lovely and its an easy commute into Grantham for supplies. Any minor issues were dealt with very promptly by Grethe and Ove. Thank you.

Honestly save your money and look elsewhere. Unless of course youre happy to be kept awake by passing trains every 15 minutes until late hours. I have been sadly disappointed by this location, primarily for the response I had off a complaint which I will come back to shortly that I raised about the loud and fast trains that pass every 15-20 minutes or so, including heavy freight trains. Trains pass very late at night, towards 11pm, and as early as 7ish in the morning so found the quality of sleep very poor. I raised this issue after having 2 nights of disturbances as I wanted to leave a few days early because of the trains. I was met with a "I will not refund you for nights you don't stay, and others don't have a problem". I wasn't very happy with being painted with the same brush as others. A very very poor response that has left me disappointed with the whole visit. The location is ideal if you're working locally to Grantham, with a Tesco Express a mere 6 minute drive away. Access to the campsite off the main road is fine, but getting through the actual gate onto the field is a task as they don't open wind as they scrape along the ground. It was a very tight turn, even with a normal sized van. Site facilities are clean (not that there are many), the little lake is nice also. Costs 5 a day to fish. However, I simply cannot recommend this based on the interaction I had with a valid issue. In my eyes, customer service is beyond all other things, and feel this was a big let down regrettably. If youre a fan on trains, then this is ideal. However, if you want a peaceful stay? Id look elsewhere.
