Unfortunately it seems this place has gone downhill in recent months. After being greeted by an incredibly hard-working and determined member of staff, it was made clear that there had been an entire staff turnover and the place wasn't quite well-equipped for an escape room afternoon, with one room being broken and one under refurbishment, we only had one option. Nevertheless, we endeavoured to our prison room and got underway. There was no timer on the wall or in the room at all, meaning I had to set my own on my phone, or else we would not have been able to see our remaining time. We completed the room with relative ease, as we visit escape rooms quite often, but were stumped at the final hurdle. Unfortunately, as the recently employed staff member explained, they had not been trained in this room, and thus we were given the explanation sheet. The final code to escape the cell was set incorrectly, as confirmed by our friends who had completed it years prior. So we did/didn't escape! Overall, it was quite disorganised and run down. The staff member was fantastic and deserves commendation for their determination to have us complete the room, however, the set up needs a revamp and refurb. The presence of multiple rowdy youths banging on our escape room door was quite off putting too. Oh well.
