I had 3 placements with acorn, for the first year things ran smoothly and payments were correct. Covid hit I was retained as I had sufficient time to be paid furlough money. During my second placement the way we were paid was constantly changing. To cut along story short when I finished with them and started working for my current employer it transpired that I somehow owed 1200 in tax arrears. Considering agency work is PAYE It remains a mystery to me how this came about. I have had to pay the money back, glad to be out of it.
